Gorgeous handmade jewelry box with dividers and two magnetic closing drawers. The sides of the box are Cherry. The top panel of this box is made from Oregon myrtlewood. Myrtle-wood is a broad leaf evergreen that is very slow growing but can reach over 100 feet tall. Myrtle tree is of special religious significance, representing fertility and life. Handles are made of horse chestnut from a tree planted by Gen. William Whipple (signer of the Declaration of Independence) in 1776 in Portsmouth, NH.Other wood used include lacewood, wenge and maple.
