Adorable white stoneware dish by Connie Turin, featuring colorful Suess-like drawings of a village complete with whimsical little characters in the windows, driving cars, and evergreen trees in the landscape. Connie’s works are formed like pinch pots, then decorated with enhanced incised lines and filled in with color. They are primarily left unglazed, but after the firing process, she then tenderly sands each one to a silky finish, leaving them soft and tactile. Imaginative and whimsical, her work is playful and light, great for engaging children as well as decorative works of art. Fully functional and food safe.
