Adorable white stoneware story bowl by Connie Turin, featuring colorful, whimsical drawings of a fanciful mountain village, with whimsical homes, store fronts, colorful characters in the windows, and a car driving through the mountains with evergreen trees. Connie’s works are formed like pinch pots, then decorated with enhanced incised lines and filled in with color. The outside is left unglazed, but after the firing process, Connie tenderly sands it to a silky finish, leaving it soft and tactile. Imaginative and whimsical, her work is playful and light, great for engaging children as well as decorative works of art. The inside of this bowl is finished with a clear glaze, making it fully functional and food safe.
