Woodfired mug by Tom White, strong, handsome, and durable! Tom’s work has a beautiful warmth and weight. Textured with thick slips, and fired in a wood fueled kiln, the toasty clay color you see is naturally glazed with wood ash! The kiln is fired to a high temperature where the wood ash actually melts to form a glass which glazes the pottery. (The pale circular markings underneath are characteristic of salt fired or woodfired pottery.) Made with high-temperature durable stoneware and lined with a luscious white crackle glaze on the interior. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
