“Mother Earth Evergreen”

A small, beautiful sculpture with a gentle, nurturing spirit.  Lars Turin made with piece his unique technique of crusting the surface of soft clay with sodium silicate and a torch, and then stretching the still-soft clay to create controlled surface cracking.  He then enhances the cracking with various colors and removes it from the smooth, white clay surface to create a dramatic contrast.  It is signed and titled by the artist, and mounted on a black painted wood base.
