Delightful hand carved vessel by Wendy Jackson, with a technique called Sgraffito (in Italian,“to scratch”). This is a unique surface decorating technique done by applying colors to the leather hard pottery, and then scratching off parts of the layers to create contrasting images, patterns, and textures, revealing the clay color underneath. Use it as a vase for flowers, a jar for pencils, or a cup for sipping your favorite drink. Food safe and microwave and dishwasher friendly.
