Unique tumblers that are both functional and artistic. The artist, Lars Turin, made these wheel-thrown tumblers using his unique technique of crusting the surface of soft clay with sodium silicate and a torch, and then stretching the still-soft clay to create controlled surface cracking. He then enhances the cracking with various colors and removes it from the smooth, white clay surface to create a dramatic contrast. The interiors are glazed with a medium blue. Signed by the artist.
