Woodfired mug by Tom White, glazed with a beautiful amber celadon. Tom’s work has a wonderful warmth and weight, and his mugs have generous handles that are strong and comfortable. Fired in a wood fueled kiln, the toasty clay color you see is naturally glazed with wood ash! The kiln is fired to a high temperature where the wood ash actually melts to form a glass which glazes the pottery. (The pale circular markings underneath are characteristic of salt fired or woodfired pottery.)  Made with high-temperature durable stoneware. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
