Artist: LaBella, Blair

A native New Englander, I grew up in Marblehead, MA., graduated with a BFA in Ceramics from RISD, lived in Kittery Point, ME. for 20 years where my sons were raised and now reside in Southern NH. I made the move from ceramics, where I designed custom tile, to metalsmithing in 1990, gaining skills from the DeCordova Museum School, intensive workshops & self-teaching. Working with both ceramic cabochons & with beach stones, the beach stones dominate my focus. I gravitate to the appeal of the stones in their natural ocean worn state. These pieces are one of a kind, composed then constructed with immaculate and unadorned hand fabricated silver bezels.

Pendant with XO and heart shaped beach stone by Blair LaBella. Carefully selected and set in sterling silver. 2″ wide pendant and 14″ wire necklace.
