The karner blue butterfly -NH state butterfly-, is endangered due to the loss of its foodsource, the wild lupine, or lupinus perennis. Due to the efforts of school children replanting this native wildflower, the karner blue is making a come-back. These Karner Blue Butterfly Earrings are a tribute to this special butterfly, and to the efforts of these children. The earrings are handcrafted from jeweler’s brass and Sterling silver, and carefully hand-painted. They measure 7/8″ x 7/8″ and are light as….what else?…a butterfly.
