Lucy’s note: This is a piece of slag from the stone stack in Franconia. It is the lovely by-product of the iron industry that supported our region 200 years ago. The slag was poured into the river and was polished as it tumbled over time. There was a similar industry in this area (Gilmanton Iron Works) so slag can probably be found there too!”
Pendant measures approximately 1/2 inch wide by 1 inches tall. Chain length is 24-1/2 inches.
