Lucy’s note: This is a piece of slag from the stone stack in Franconia. It is the lovely by-product of the iron industry that supported our region 200 years ago. The slag was poured into the river and was polished as it tumbled over time. There was a similar industry in this area (Gilmanton Iron Works) so slag can probably be found there too!”
Pendant measures approximately 2-1/4 inches long by 2 inches wide. Chain length is 26 inches.
