The patterns and images in my work are created by layering different colored polymer clay into “canes” (three-dimensional designs) from which I slice cross-sections. I then harden these slices in an oven. Once hardened I combine them with niobium wire, nylon-coated steel threads or silk cord to make my work as fanciful and kinetic as I can. I was a painting major in college but was always drawn to making jewelry. This work satisfies both my love for color and for the intricate adornment.

Necklace is 18″ light green covered wire with a screw clasp and the Bursting Cubes polymer pendant measures 3 1/2″ wide and 2 1/2″ high.
