Autumn colored, willow leaf shaped plique-à-jour earrings by enamel jewelry artist, Lynn Adams. These warm colored earrings range from a deep burnt red to a cool yellow. Luminous and transparent, like miniature stained-glass windows, they shine with colored glass through the center of the bright sterling silver. French for “letting in daylight,” plique-à-jour is a technically challenging enameling technique, in which the enamel is applied in cells with no backing on the final product, so light can shine through the translucent glass enamel. Hanging from securely soldered sterling silver earwires, these colorful and elegant earrings are a wearable piece of art.
