Nathan makes colorful glass rondels, vases, paperweights, functional bowls, and sculptural pieces. He often combines forged iron into his work creating whimsical garden sculptures, such as spiders and dragonflies with glass eyes. “I never tire of trying new things with glass. Blowing glass is an abstract process that is technically challenging, but it’s exciting because the results are so immediate. Being able to make a living doing what you love to do is a real gift and for me, that’s working with glass, whether I’m producing my own work or teaching others.”
Green and black handblown glass bowl by Nathan Macomber; about 15″ diameter and 6″ tall. One of a kind.
