My name is Lada Bohac. I'm originally from Moravia in the Czech Republic. I have studied and worked at Crystalex in Novy Bor, a renowned company for glass art and design. In 1995 I was approached by Simon Pearce Glass Company and offered the opportunity to move to beautiful Vermont as his glassblower. After 10 years working there I decided to build and open my own glassblowing studio.

This beautiful, solid glass polar bear by Lada Bohac was sculpted while molten hot, during the glassblowing process. Heavy like a paperweight, but airy and liquid in form and texture. A wonderful sculpture for glass collectors.
