Inspired by the wild birds that make their homes along with ours, Kate Kilgus designed this handwoven scarf to suggest the colors of the female common warbler and white breasted nuthatch. Woven from a lightweight by insulating blend of merino wool and tencel. Hand hemstitched ends. Fringe was hand twisted.
The plaid border motif is featured on each end of the scarf. The colored yarns are used throughout warp and weft. The checked design creates half-tones of the yarns, creating visual interest without excessive busy-ness.
These scarves are unisex.
Dimensions: 8.5″ wide x 76.5″ long (not including fringe). 8.5″ wide x 84.5″ long (with fringe included).
