I’ve always loved creating art in various forms, but found a real draw with ceramics while attending college for Environmental Studies. Working late in the studio was the perfect way to unwind from a long day of studying and classes. After graduation, I felt that something was missing; that my soul was pining for something I couldn’t name. I rented a studio space from 2012 – 2014, then invested in a used kiln and wheel to continue my passion at home. In the fall of 2017, I left my full-time job to attend a fall residency at Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, then began working full time as a Ceramic Artist. I aim to express my love of nature in the look and feel of my pieces.
