Korean Onggi Pots: Artist Talk and Throwing Demonstration with juried member Yeonsoo Kim
Kimball Jenkins School of Art, 266 N Main Street, Concord, NH
Onggi pots are traditional Korean earthenware pots. At this event you will learn about their history, use and the contemporary approach that Yeonsoo applies to creating these traditional vessels.
The event begins with a 45-minute artists with an emphasis on the narrative elements of Yeonsoo’s work, which including the surface techniques of Sanggam (inlay) and Parkji (sgraffito). Participants will then move to the newest ceramic studio space at Kimball Jenkins for a demonstration that will bring the techniques and processes discussed to life.

Fabric Collage: Freeform Flowers in a Vase with Juried Member, Libby Mortensen
League of NH Craftsmen Main Office, 49 S Main Street, Concord, NH
Libby is well known for her needle felted creatures but she is also an accomplished fabric collage artist and teacher. Join her to make a fun freeform fabric collage project inspired by the impressionists’ paintings of flowers in a vase.
In this class you will create a unique collage while learning the fusible fabric collage technique, which allows for rearranging your elements until you are happy with your layout, before fusing with a final pressing with an iron. You’ll be able to choose from a large selection of prepared fabrics and cut out pieces to create a table, vase, stems and flowers, in your choice of style and colors.
Composition and design tips will be discussed and your final 8″ x 10″ piece will be mounted onto painter’s stretcher bars, ready to taken home and proudly displayed.

Discover the art of rug hooking in this fun and welcoming beginner class! Perfect for those with little or no experience, this hands-on workshop will introduce you to the basic techniques to get you started on your rug hooking journey.
You’ll learn about tools and materials, cut wool strips, and master the fundamental hooking techniques that bring a design to life. Along the way, you’ll explore color, texture, and simple finishing methods while creating a small project of your own.
Whether you’re looking for a new creative hobby, a relaxing pastime, or a way to connect with a rich textile tradition, this class provides the perfect introduction. All skill levels are welcome, and plenty of individual guidance will be provided in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.

Table Top Product Photography for 3D Artwork with Guest Instructor, Gary Samson

High-quality photographs of your work do more than showcase the finished piece. They honor the hours of thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship, and careful attention to detail you’ve invested in creating it. They can also make the difference between being accepted into a show or gallery, attracting commissions, or making an online sale.
Join award-winning photographer Gary Samson to learn what goes into creating high-quality photographs of your craft using simple techniques and accessible equipment. You’ll leave with an understanding of how to choose proper lighting, select the right background, create a compelling composition and use props thoughtfully. You will also learn practical editing tips for creating polished images that showcase your work.
Students should bring three to five pieces of photo-ready 3D work that can sit on a table. Everyone will have at least one item photographed by Gary – more if time allows. The focus of this workshop is strictly table top craft. Wall mounted craft will be the subject of a follow up workshop.
