I made my first Baby Rattle about 20 years ago and it was love at first sight, I had found my signature piece. Although I have made many more Rattles since then, I still have that same feeling every time. I like to experiment with different colored woods to create these strikingly beautiful Rattles. The bees wax and walnut oil that I use for a finish are enough to bring out the wonderfully warm colors of the Maple, Cherry, Walnut and the plantation grown Redheart, Ebony, Yellowheart, Purpleheart and Cocobolo. This all natural finish is baby safe and environmentally safe. My creations have been featured in the New York Times, The Crafts Report, and on NPR.
