I learned woodturning at the Homestead School in Newington NH in 2000. I’m a long-time member of the Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers and frequently demonstrate at the Craftsmen’s Fair each August. After taking classes in woodturning, I have made many bowls both regular bowls and natural edge bowls. I have also made other items such as wine stoppers, wood boxes, pens, and Christmas ornaments. Since 2024 I have been teaching woodturning at the Rockler Woodworking store in Salem, NH – with an emphasis on bowls. I’ve taught hundreds of students – all of which have gone home with a bowl to enjoy. My personal design is mostly decided by the wood that I am turning and what I consider pleasing to the eye as well as the function that the item I intend it to be used for.
