| I have worked with various mediums over the years, but in the last 10 years I have settled into the wonderful challenge of working with used and scrapped items, mostly the innards of computers and electronics. This medium fits into my problem solving and engineering side and dovetails with the creative juices. Therefore, what you see is made up, mostly, of used parts and pieces. Recently my main focus has been to take advantage of the acrylic sheets that are integral to monitor and TV screens. It is this plastic that is cut, shaped, painted and glued to make the feathers for my birds. The bodies are sculpted from rigid foam insulation and the bases are made from found wood. |
