Kristen Dettoni is an accomplished fiber artist with over thirty years of experience. She received her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her work embodies her love of color, texture, and codes. She believes art, whether through color, composition, or imagery, can convey a visual message on its own, but she loves the idea that there can be so much more to an image, whether the viewer is aware of it. A large selection of her work includes pieces that contain hidden messages. Her discovery of decoding messages by looking for patterns ignited a fervor to infuse a more profound significance into her work. Her work has been exhibited nationally. |
