Ken’s passion as a wood turner is specializing in hand crafted wooden pens and accessories such as letter openers and desk sets made from exotic hardwoods. Ken began pen making over 8 years ago when his favorite wood working store was having a pen turn-a-thon to send pens to the troops. He decided to buy a lathe to make Christmas gifts for his family. This led to craft fairs in Boston. His signature design, a checkerboard pen, was featured on the front page of the Boston Globe’s magazine, The Sidekick. Ken has also taught his craft to “wood be” pen turners at the local wood working store. Ken is continuously developing new and unique designs. Each one a collector’s item.
