| Kathy Kemp is a Vermont-based assemblage artist who works with found and salvaged materials to create formally resolved compositions. Years in geriatric care shaped her respect for age as a record of living — for surfaces and objects that carry time visibly. Her assemblages invite close looking: the quiet presence of overlooked things, the formal relationships that emerge when material history and physical form are taken seriously. The pieces lead the process, their histories and surfaces guiding compositions that rest between stillness and motion, memory and structure. Kemp studied design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and exhibits throughout New England. |
