A love of nature and a never ending desire to “create” are what inspire my soft sculptures. From my home in the woods, I look for inspiration all around me, including my flock of real live chickens! From an early age I loved the idea of creating three dimensional pieces. In addition to art school, I was inspired by other doll artists and soon I was studying patterns and how they were made. Eventually I was able to bring my own ideas to life – on a sewing machine! My soft sculptures are tactile and fun, using soft and interesting fabrics. They are meant to be touched and loved.
