For over 25 years, I have been a full-time traditional basket maker living in a farmhouse in the hills of the Northeast. My baskets are made by hand, the old fashioned way, one at a time, from White Ash trees. I work with a tree while it is fresh, and I use antique hand tools. The wood is known for its strength, flexibility and fine luster.
My baskets are made with a deep love and reverence for Nature, which travels through my heart and hands and into the wood as it is shaped, carved and woven. I love basket making, and believe it is a craft worth preserving.
I dedicate my life to preserving our heritage for future generations.
