Jaya Lord

Born and raised in the forests of New Hampshire, I have always had an affinity with, and drawn inspiration from, the beauty of nature. I have explored many crafts and art forms to find ways to channel this connection and endeavor to harness the compelling gravitas of the natural world. Now my focus is through the medium of leather where I use natural objects gathered on my travels to embellish my work and also to emboss onto the leather itself.
I now work and collaborate with Donlin Foreman in Horse Hill Studio. Together we explore intriguing textures, impactful symbology, and the creation of pieces that harkens to the roots of the human experience.
