At the heart of my work is COLOR. Exploring the inner nature of color as gesture, movement and character is what speaks to me.
The impulse for imagination arises from entering into the interplay of colors with all of their moods and ever changing dynamic relationships.
Once the colors are combined with other materials there is an element of surprise. There is an alluring magic to combining fleece and fiber to create something warm and aesthetically pleasing.
The finest merino wool is hand dyed and wet felted together with recycled silk material and a variety of fibers to create texture and design. Sculptural effects are added with the use of needle felting, embroidery and sewing.
