I’ve been working in the traditions of leather crafting since the late 1960’s but during college took a hiatus from serious leather work to begin a 40-year career as a Modern Dancer. First with the Martha Graham Dance Company where I was directed by Martha for 20 yrs – then to co-found Buglisi/Foreman Dance and to serve as Associate Professor at Barnard College/Columbia University. Today, I live in the historic community of Harrisville, NH, where I now translate the essential facets of my dancing – utility, identity and craft to my work with leather and found objects at Horse Hill Studio.
