I began my journey into the world of glass almost 40 years ago and during that time, my signature work began with a combination of both etching and fusing melded together into uniquely colored items. I love the shimmering rainbow effects achieved through the use of glass, lustres and metal micas, along with line work added with pen and ink, enamels and sandblast etchings. Then beginning in 2007, I started experimenting with a more painterly impressionistic line of landscape work. Primarily sculptural in nature, and using powders, frit, and thin threads of pulled glass, this new work continues to capture images of birch trees, mountain ranges, beaches, and other local landmarks.
