Chris’ work is inspired by nature, including animals, but primarily the woods and waters near her home. She wants others to see what captivates her, whether it is a particular shade of pink in the sky over the lake or the splash of a waterfall. She strives to make the images realistic enough that viewers need to get close to see that it is wool, not a photograph, and be surprised and delighted by that realization.
