I live and work in Hollis, NH where I grow and harvest all of the plants I use in my art. Ecoprints are a form of sustainable artwork that uses natural materials, such as leaves and flowers, to create colorful and unique designs on paper or fabric. The process produces a mesmerizing display of intricate details and stunning textures by placing the plant materials on pre-soaked paper, wrapping it tightly, and boiling it in water for an hour or more. After they are dried and ironed, I try to find a pleasing composition in the chaos. This eco-friendly technique creates beautiful prints as well as promoting a connection with nature. |
