Fabric and Color: That’s what motivates me to create my traditional and modern/abstract quilts. Although I have been sewing for more than sixty years, I focused my attention on quilting after retiring from a career in finance. I challenged myself to become a juried member of the NH League of Craftsmen. I also joined the Soo-Nipi Quilters’ Guild and a smaller group of quilters known as the GEMs. Through those groups, and through on-line learning, I have learned many quilting techniques, which I apply in new and creative ways. When creating a new piece, I want the fabrics and their colors to make the artistic impression.
