NH woodcarver Laury Nichols has been a juried League member since 1976. Her highly detailed animal carvings, signed and dated, sparkling with personality, have brought smiles and wonder to many and continue to be added to collections in New England and internationally.
Laury carves 98% of each piece with a simple hand-held X-acto knife. The hand painting and detailing takes about 2/3rds of the time to a finished piece.
Getting the face just right is one of the fun parts!
Laury is proud to continue to offer carvings in a wide variety of price points and welcome custom work at all levels.
She occasionally teaches and is always happy to answer questions.
