Madeleine learned her craft from formal classes, workshops and from many hours of practice. She is motivated by the thought that there are always new techniques and different ways of approaching an idea or object that makes creating a piece stimulating and meaningful. Madeleine receives insight for her work from the hilly wooded environment where she lives and from the shape, colors and patterns of the stones she uses. Madeleine lives in Alton Bay, New Hampshire with her husband, Rob.
