A graduate of SUNY Potsdam, N.Y., Lorraine was a fine arts major, earning a B.A. in ceramics, printmaking and art history. She moved to the Seacoast of N.H. in 1974 with her husband Ward. She has two sons, and they live on 40 acres of beautiful fields and forests. Lorraine has been a member of the League since 1974, producing functional stoneware and porcelain in her 200 year old barn-studio, located on her property. Her work is influenced by the beauty that surrounds her: flowers,, trees, warm, rich colors and textures.Lorraine is also an avid cook, and takes inspiration from creating and using interesting, attractive pieces to use when in the kitchen or the dining room.
