Art Anderson is a self taught artist who has been creating whimsical folk art for more than 25 years. Art discovered his passion for woodworking early in life, and as his skill grew he began to rely on his innate sense of design to create whimsical animals, and his beloved circus performers. Each piece is handcrafted from pine cut from his wood lot, hand painted and finished with meticulous attention to detail. “It makes me smile!”… a phrase that Art hears often as he travels around New England demonstrating his craft. Art has shown his work at the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival, Washington,DC,at the Chaffee Arts Center, Sharon Arts Center, and the Kalamazoo Center for the Arts.
