The League of NH Craftsmen invites members to participate in Gathered: The Art of Home, a holiday-season exhibition celebrating the creativity, warmth, and individuality that make a house feel like home.
Think beyond a single table or room. Consider the objects that welcome us through the front door, the pieces we gather around for a meal, the artwork that catches our eye as we walk through a room, the textiles that add warmth and comfort, the jewelry and clothing that express our individuality, and the handcrafted furnishings that anchor our spaces.
Imagine a Home Filled with Craft
Submissions will be used to create vignettes such as:
- ARRIVE- The Entryway:
- A handcrafted console or hall table, mirror, vessel, wall art, bowl for keys, textile, or other welcoming object.
- PREPARE- The Kitchen:
- Pottery, glass, wood, textiles, serving pieces, cutting boards, utensils, and other objects that bring beauty to everyday rituals.
SUGGESTED COLOR PALETTE: natural wood, terracotta, cream, blue, sage and warm neutrals.
- Pottery, glass, wood, textiles, serving pieces, cutting boards, utensils, and other objects that bring beauty to everyday rituals.
- GATHER – The Dining Room:
- A table surrounded by handcrafted chairs, tableware, linens, serving pieces, glassware, lighting, and a centerpiece.
The palette can become richer here—perhaps deep blue, forest green, warm wood, ivory and amber. The objects do not need to match. The beauty comes from seeing how different makers, disciplines and materials come together.

And More to include personal adornments
Artists are encouraged to think broadly about the ways handcrafted work can contribute to a home. Work does not need to fit neatly into one category. Pieces that are functional, decorative, whimsical, practical, luxurious, or simply beautiful are all welcome when they contribute to the feeling of a thoughtfully considered home. This should include personal items such as jewelry and clothing, handbags, belts, hats, etc.
Work that is for sale or available by custom order will be considered. Submissions should include a description of item types, sizes, and quantities, along with up to five representative images. Color options available – great!!
The exhibition will be designed to encourage visitors to imagine how handcrafted work might become part of their own homes and traditions. By presenting work together in welcoming vignettes, Gathered will demonstrate the many ways craft can shape our surroundings — from the everyday objects we use to the special pieces we treasure.
