Events > MAXT Masters Series: Learn to Make White Line Woodcuts with Amy McGregor-Radin

Event Description:

Learn this historical method of hand-printing, which was invented in Provincetown MA in the early 1900’s as you are introduced to the steps for creating white line woodcuts. You will get to try your hand at incising the board, then painting and printing an image to take home. You will leave with the board you create for more printing.

Amy has been creating white line woodcuts, also known as Provincetown prints, since 2002 after being inspired to learn the technique by an exhibit at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Several of her New England themed prints are in the permanent collection of The Boston Athenaeum, and she co-curated a white line woodcut exhibit at The Art Complex Museum, Duxbury MA and regularly participates in exhibtions in the Greater Boston and southern New Hampshire area. Amy is am juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen with work available at several of their Fine Craft galleries. Her work is also available at 13forest Gallery in East Arlington, MA and The Blue Fern Gallery in Peterborough, NH.
