Friday, 8/7: 1 PM: Stone stack iron furnaces like the one that still stands in downtown Franconia were common across swaths of North America and Europe 200 years ago. One of their byproducts is the lovely blue glassy slag that can be found in nearby rivers such as the Gale. Finding it is one of my favorite summer past times, and I love using it in jewelry. In today’s segment, I’ll share a bit o’ history, some pieces I have found, and what I do with them.
Saturday, 8/8: 10 AM: Littleton League Gallery tour (note this one is at a different time)
Saturday, 8/8: 1 PM: working silver demo
