Event Description:
Join us at the League of NH Craftsmen – Center Sandwich Fine Craft Gallery on Tuesday, August 20th 2024 and Wednesday, August 21st 2024 from10:00 am – 4:00 pm for a Take Your Basket Weaving to the Next Level Workshop with instructor Ralph Watson.
We will start by learning how to weave a pattern on our basket handle and then move into lashing our two 14-inch hoops together to begin forming spokes and starting the weave. Students will learn how to cut and add spokes to shape their basket, you will also learn how to add weavers, dye reed and use seagrass to create texture and design in their basket. By the end of day two students will go home with a completed 14-inch round basket.
Tuition is $75.00 per student. Materials fee is $30.00. The materials fee will be paid cash or check to the instructor on the day of class. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Registration form and full payment must be received at least 1 week prior to the class to ensure your place. Failure to make full payment may result in the loss of your space in the class.
