Event Description:
Join us at the League of NH Craftsmen – Center Sandwich Fine Craft Gallery on Friday, June 7th, 2024 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm for an Introduction to Dyeing with Natural Indigo Workshop with instructor Sara Goodman.
In this one-day class, students will learn to make an iron vat with powdered indigo extract, ferrous sulfate, and slaked lime (calcium hydroxide). This is the easiest and most stable of the natural vats and is a good place to begin an exploration of dyeing with natural indigo. Students are invited to bring one piece of natural fiber clothing to dye.
Tuition is $75.00 per student. Materials fee is $20.00. The materials fee will be paid cash or check to the instructor on the day of class. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Registration form and full payment must be received at least 1 week prior to the class to ensure your place. Failure to make full payment may result in the loss of your space in the class.
