Event Description:
Join us at the League of NH Craftsmen – Center Sandwich Fine Craft Gallery on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 from 10:00am – 2:00pm for an Introduction to Batik Class with Alison Parsons.
Batik is a wax and dye process for decorating fabric. It is identified by the crackle effect created when the wax cracks and allows the dye to penetrate. Students will learn Batik’s basic steps, including sketching your design, applying wax, dying in a cold water dye bath, and removing wax.
Tuition is $50.00 per student, per session, plus a $20 materials fee to be paid to the instructor. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Registration form and full tuition payment must be received at least 1 week prior to the class to ensure your place. Failure to make full payment may result in the loss of your space in the class.
