Exhibition Description:
Continuing the Tradition celebrates the craftsmen who have become juried members of the League—or have added a new media to their existing membership—within the past three years (Spring 2023 through Spring 2026). This exhibition will showcase an exciting range of media and the diverse perspectives of nearly one hundred artists, reflecting the evolving story of our historic organization.
Whether rooted in traditional craft methods or exploring contemporary approaches, the work presented honors both legacy and innovation. We are proud to welcome these artists into our community and to share their voices with a wider audience.
Eligibility & Guidelines:
- Participants must be current juried members of the League of NH Craftsmen (dues paid and standards requirements met) who have juried into the organization during 2023, 2024, 2025 or spring of 2026.
- Work submitted must not have been exhibited at League Headquarters within the past three years.
- Work available for sale is encouraged; NFS (Not for Sale) pieces may also be included.
- Participation is limited to one guaranteed piece per craftsman to ensure broad representation.
Submission Requirements:
Artwork & Materials:
- One piece that exemplifies your approach to craft
- One high-resolution image of the artist at work (strongly encouraged for promotional use)
Artist Reflection (Required):
As part of your submission, we invite you to reflect on your experience as a juried member and to share insight into your creative voice. Responses may be used in exhibition materials, including labels, promotional content, and digital features.
Please limit responses to 2–4 sentences per question.
- What inspired you to pursue juried membership with the League, and what does this community offer you as an artist?
- In a few sentences, describe the “Spirit of the Maker” in your work—what defines your creative voice and what you hope others take away from it.
