Nomination Deadline for 2022 is July 25th!!
One of the most prestigious honors presented by the League, the Blackstone Volunteer Recognition Award recognizes the selfless efforts of a League volunteer.
The award was created to honor volunteer extraordinaire Edie Blackstone, the wife of Jess Blackstone, a wood carver in the League for many years, whose birds are miniature sculptures that stand today as collector’s items in the League’s Permanent Collection.
Edie adopted the cause of the League of NH Craftsmen for her own. She worked on staff, retired, and came back as a volunteer for a great number of years. Edie worked to provide craft education and membership services, and every year she would be at the Craftsmen’s Fair serving the League in literally hundreds of ways. We celebrate her selfless dedication with the Blackstone Volunteer Recognition Award.
