Demonstrations by Juried Members

Matt Brown DemonstationEach year, the Fair provides people of all ages with a wide range of craftmaking demonstrations, from rug braiding and papermaking to woodcarving and furniture building. Each demonstration and workshop is presented by juried members of the League who provide hands-on opportunities to learn traditional and contemporary techniques for making fine craft.

Special guests are also invited to demonstrate at the Fair because of the important role they play in helping to preserve the traditional art of making fine handcrafts. These guests have included members of the: Canterbury Shaker Village, Enfield Shaker Museum, NH Art Association, NH State Council on the Arts, Granite State Woodcarvers, Granite State Wood Turners, and more than twenty different NH Craft Guilds representing woodworkers, rug hookers, rug braiders, weavers, doll makers, potters, knitters, and quilters. See also our 2012 Daily Schedule for updates on the upcoming fair demonstrations by juried League members.
